meet Becky

Hello! I am so glad you’re here! My name is Becky Broce; I’m a  Kansas City-based photographer with over ten years of experience in maternity, child, birth, newborn, family, and special event photography.  

Throughout the past several years, I’ve been lucky (and devoted) enough to develop a unique skill set when it comes to connecting with families and capturing beautiful moments together. I’m blessed to live in a community that values small business, hard work, and love for individuals of all walks of life.

In another area of my professional life, I am a licensed secondary teacher and have been teaching for over twenty years. Kids and books. Every one makes a difference. 

If you are curious about my goals and philosophy as a photographer, my main priority in a photo shoot is to make you feel at ease and comfortable during the session (as we all know not many like getting their photos taken!), and to capture those natural expressions and personalities. I believe that beautiful family photos are made in comfortable environments around people they love. Mother Nature assists quite well in helping achieve this goal, so most of my photo shoots are in the great outdoors.

On a personal note, I love all things Tucson, Santa Fe, and Colorado. Traveling keeps me young(ish- ha!) and adventurous. I absolutely cherish good coffee, GOOD historical fiction novels, yoga, cooking, and thunderstorms. I am beyond blessed with the people in my life. People have always been the lure to photography for me–I am constantly in awe of one’s unique beauty and strength in this not so easy world.
